Congratulations to the 2019 Thomas price award winners
Eleana Yu At the time of application Eleana was ranked #1 in the entire country for 8th grade girls and was the top player in the country for Girls 14's, winning both the Easter Bowl and USTA National Hard Courts Titles.Eleana continues to be a role model for her peers with her great work ethic and discipline as she strives to obtain status as a professional player.
Preston Stearns at the time of application had a Universal Tennis Rating of 11, was #5 in the Midwest, was #47 nationally in the USTA rankings and won the High School State Division Doubles title in Division 1 as a member of the St. Xavier Tennis Team. Preston’s coaches state that “his work ethic is exemplary and he constantly finds ways to inspire and assist younger players.”
Peyton Stearns at the time of application had a Universal Tennis Rating of 12, was #5 nationally in the USTA rankings and had a WTA Professional ranking of #738 in the world. According to her coaches, “Peyton is an absolute joy to work with and is a person who raises the level of any class or clinic she is in. Her attitude, personality and sense of humor combine to reflect the quality of individual she has grown to become.”
